PURPOSE:To surely enable the initiation of the squib developing an air bag by its inflation at a collision time even if an ignition switch is turned OFF at the vehicle traveling time by connecting a backup circuit closed according to a car speed in parallel to an ignition switch. CONSTITUTION:The squib 5 developing an air bag by its inflation with the ignition switch 2 for starting an engine, the collision sensors 3, 4 detecting the collision of a car, the high pressure gas generated by an initiation, etc. is connected in series to the battery 1 for vehicle. In this case, the backup circuit 6 connected to a car speed sensor 7 detecting the traveling speed(car speed) of vehicle is connected in parallel to the ignition switch 2 in addition to said electric circuit. The squib 5 is thus made initiated surely at the collision detection time even if the ignition switch 2 be turned OFF for some causes during the car traveling. |
