摘要

PURPOSE:To increase horizontal resolution equivalently without increasing the number of external terminals nor driving circuits by providing picture element electrodes which are supplied with both signals from corresponding signal lines in adjacence relation through switch elements between picture element electrodes provided on the corresponding signal lines through the switch elements. CONSTITUTION:Picture elements are provided between picture elements provided on corresponding signal lines D1 and D7 in adjacent relation through switch elements Q1 and Q4 and those picture elements are connected to the couple of signals lines D1 and D7 supplied with signals R1 and R3 through switch elements Q2 and Q3. Therefore, the intermediate voltage between both signals R1 and R3 is written as a picture element signal in the picture elements provided between the picture elements corresponding to both signal lines D1 and D7 by a resistance voltage dividing circuit which includes the switch elements Q2 and Q3 as resistances. Consequently, the horizontal resolution can be increased without increasing the number of driving circuits nor terminals.
