<p>PURPOSE:To inexpensively perform denitration with high efficiency by adding an aqueous solution of an iron compound, ammonia or the like to the exhaust gas generated in a combustion apparatus using fossil fuel at a point where the temp. of the exhaust gas on the passage, through which said exhaust gas passes, becomes a specific range. CONSTITUTION:An additive is injected in the exhaust gas at a point where the temp. of the exhaust gas generated from a combustion apparatus using fossil fuel becomes 130-600 deg.C and/or the passage of the combustion apparatus in an amount of 0.1-100g as oxide per 10Nm<3> of the exhaust gas. As the additive, an aqueous solution (1) of iron or an iron compound, a powder (2) composed of a mixture wherein Fe, V or W is mixed with titanium oxide or a powder (3) composed of a mixture of V, W or Mo with iron or an iron compound is used. Further, ammonia is injected before or after the injection point of the additive or at the injection point. By this method, a denitrating catalyst as a fixed bed becomes unnecessary and operation can be stably performed for a long period of time.</p> |
