PURPOSE:To provide a hot powder compacting device which is secured reduction of the equipment cost, shorting of the operating hour, simplification of the operation by an automatic continuous operation and safety of the operation. CONSTITUTION:Ceramic powder and a lubricant are charged in each container 1, and a preform of metallic powder is embedded at a central part of the ceramic powder layer. The container 1 is moved to the upper part of an electric furnace 2a and is heated and the heated container 1 is conveyed to a mounting table 8. Next a cylindrical body is slided to right over a die 4a and then the preform in the cylindrical body and the ceramic powder are charged into the die 4a.
