PURPOSE:To provide an anti-thrombogenic material excellent in gas permeability, particularly oxygen selective permeability, and transparency, etc., by forming the gas permeable anti-thrombogenic material with a polysiloxane-aromatic polyamide block copolymer as its main component which has repeating units represented by a specific formula. CONSTITUTION:A gas permeable anti-thrombogenic material is formed with a polysiloxane-aromatic polyamide block copolymer as its main component which has repeating units represented by formula. In the formula, R1 and R3 each represent a divalent aromatic organic residual group, R2 represents a 1-6C alkylene group, and R4 and R5 represent the same or different 1-6C alkyl or phenyl group; m represents an integer of 10 to 200 and n represents an integer of 1 to 50. The anti-thrombogenic material has excellent gas permeability and excellent transparency, etc., and is therefore useful as the material of the gas exchange films, etc., of a heart-lung machine and an artificial lung. Further, the material can be shaped into various forms such as a hollow fiber membrane, a thin film and a plate and is hence useful also as the medical oxygen permeable film for a contact lens, etc. |
