PURPOSE:To provide a record medium and an image recording method wherein images reloadable and having high security can be recorded. CONSTITUTION:On one surface of a plate-like base material 1 consisting of a resin of polyethylene terephthalate, an optical recording layer 2, a thermal recording layer 3, and a protective layer 4 are layered in the described order. For the optical recording layer 2, an organic photochromic material whose state changes reversibly to a coloring state and a color erasing state being irradiated with two lights having different wavelengths is used. For the thermal recording layer 3, a thermochromic material whose state changes to a transparent state and an opaque state reversibly by receiving two different temperatures is used. The protective layer 4 is basically formed by a resin material and has a near infrared rays wavelength area (750-900nm) as an absorbing dominant wavelength of the optical recording layer 2 and an absorbing dominant wavelength (2000-3000nm) different from an infrared rays wavelength area (-400nm). |
