The cover is for a turnable transmission case with ventilation bore (17), rotating in a ring chamber. The cover consists of a labyrinth carrier and a lid. The outer atmosphere is connected to the ring chamber via the ventilation bore, a central chamber (22), spiral labyrinth paths (18-21), and air compensation bores (13-16). The ventilation bore is located in the labyrinth carrier centrally in the extension of the rotary axis of the drive shaft. At least three of the air compensation bores connected to the labyrinth paths are positioned on a diameter having the ventilation bore as a centre, and at even relative distances.
