METHOD FOR FLUX OF SUBMERGED ARC WELDING

The submerged arc welding alloy flux manufacturing method is provided by coating a cobalt oxide on the alloy flux, to achieve an excellent toughness of the welded portion. The submerged arc welding alloy flux manufacturing method comprises the steps of: solving cobalt acetate composition by alcohol and mixing a mixing solution of alcohol and distilled water into the solved composition; adding acid of 2-2.5 mol per 1 of the cobalt acetate and adjusting the viscosity of solution to 3-5cps to manufacture the cobalt coating solution; coating the solution onto the flux; and filtering the coated solution, heating the coated flux at the temperature of 200~250 deg.C and drying the coated flux.
