Video signal processing device with phantom image detection

The video signal processing device has the video signal fed to three successive delay elements (6,7,8) which provide delayed signals. The delayed signals are compared with one another via a logic arithmetic unit (10,11,12,13,14), for providing a film image changing signal, and for evaluation for indicating a phantom image. The delayed signals provided by two of the delay elements (6) may be used to provide an interpolated video signal (y), which is compared with the first video signal (x) and the output of the third delay element (8).
