<p>PURPOSE:To easily produce hepatocyte useful in cytomedical field in high yield, by culturing hepatic cell including non-essential cell in a specific substrate and treating the cell with a chelating agent for Ca ion. CONSTITUTION:A poly(N-p-vinylbenzyl-D-lactonamide) of formula (PVLA) is used as a substrate and is poured optionally together with serum, etc., into a culture vessel such as culture Petri dish to obtain William E medium, etc. A hepatic cell including non-essential cell is added to and cultured in the medium to effect the bonding and adhesion of hepatic cell to the D-galactose sugar chain terminal of PVLA. The cultured product is treated with a Ca ion-chelating agent such as EDTA to release the hepatocyte from PVLA in living state. The released hepatocyte is separated and recovered.</p> |
