PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniform oriented ferrite sintered body at a comparatively low temperature by forming a precursor by fixing alkoxide of a specific metal element to the surface of α-FeOOH powder, and obtaining fiberlike magnetic oxide powder of a large aspect ratio whose longitudinal direction and crystal axis coincide. SOLUTION: This is a manufacturing method for oriented ferrite sintered bodies represented by the formula MeFeO4 (M is at least one kind or more of metal elements selected from Mn, Ni, Zn, Cu, and Co), and acetate of the metal element Me and a specified organic solvent are mixed, and alkoxide of the metal element Me is synthesized by heating this mixed solution and removing crystal water. Next, precursor powder is produced by fixing the Me alkoxide to the surfaces of fiberlike α-FeOOH powder, and magnetic powder is produced by performing heat-treatment at a temperature 300-900 deg.C. Being arranged in a constant direction, this magnetic powder is molded, and this molding is fired at a specified temperature. |
