PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the transfer capacity by providing a semiconductor laser forming a light source and a light modulating element capable of selecting whether the light emitted from the semiconductor laser is passed or reflected. SOLUTION: This element is formed of a semiconductor laser 11 forming a light source and light modulating elements 12-14 capable of selecting whether the light emitted from the semiconductor laser 11 is passed or nor. The light emitted from the semiconductor laser 11 is incident on or reflected by the light modulating element 12. When the reflectivity is 0, the light is totally transmitted, and it is transmitted by the light modulating element 12 as it is and incident on the following light modulating element 13. When the reflectivity is 1, the light is totally reflected, and incident on the light modulating element 14. This is repeated, whereby the function of light exchange can be provided by field application to each light modulating element 12-14. Since a three-dimensional wiring can be performed by light, a battle neck by wiring as in electric transfer is never caused, and a large capacity of light can be transferred. |
