The optic transmission system includes one or several line sections (1,2) with dispersion compensation fibres (25,26,27,28). The first dispersion compensation (25,27) fibre is arranged in the beginning of the line sections, and the second dispersion compensation fiber (26,28) arranged at the end of each section. The entire accumulated dispersion of the first and second compensation fibre of a section of the line corresponds to the accumulated dispersion an optic fibre (29,30) forming the line section. The accumulated dispersion of the first dispersion compensation fiber in the beginning of each section of the line is smaller than the accumulated dispersion of the second dispersion compensation fibre at its end. The first dispersion compensation fibre in the beginning of each section is directly connected with the optic fibre of the line section.
