Fuel injection system for IC engine, particularly diesel engine

The system has a fuel feed line (4) which leads from a tank (1) via a fuel filter (6) to a fuel pump (8) which is connected to an injection valve (12) via a fuel line (9). A valve (1) in the fuel line is connected to the fuel feed line via a return line (13). Depending on predefined operating states, esp. for low fuel temp. in the fuel feed line, the valve is opened and fuel is fed from the fuel line via the return line to the fuel feed line. The fuel pump is a high pressure pump and the fuel line is a fuel reservoir.
