The signal received by an antenna is introduced to weighting sections (105 and 106). A weighting section (105) determines weights for removing interference signals by using the signal received by the antenna and a known signal. Using the weights from the weighting section (105) as an initial value, a weighting section (106) continuously updates the weights in such a manner that the difference between a combined signal and a reference signal is minimized. On the other hand, a reception quality measurement section (108) measures the quality of received combined signal and supplies the results to a weight switching section (107). In response to the results, the weight switching section (107) changes the weight for the signal combining whenever the reception quality changes.
