ELECTRON EMITTING ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface conductive electron emitting element capable of easily forming a uniform conductive thin film on a large area, an electron source substrate and an image forming device each having the same, and a manufacturing method of them. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method including a process for forming, by dripping liquid drops, a conductive thin film 4 connecting a pair of element electrodes 2, 3 with each other, if the thickness of the conductive thin film 4 formed by the liquid drops is uneven, as the thickness of the conductive thin film 4 gets thinner, the distance between the pair of element electrodes is made narrower. The thickness of the conductive thin film 4 is controlled by means of the amount and/or the number of liquid drops.
