PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a frequency signal and a period pulse signal generating device to quickly output a periodic pulse signal synchronized with a standard clock, such as the UTC, obtained when radio waves are received from positioning satellites and a frequency signal which is coherent to the pulse signal at the time of controlling the oscillation frequency of an oscillator so that the difference between one PPS generated in a receiver and the standard clock may become smaller. SOLUTION: A frequency signal and periodic pulse signal generating device is provided with a first frequency signal generating circuit VC-OCXO 14 having a narrow frequency change width and high frequency stability and an NCO 26 which outputs the wave number of the output signal of the VC-OCXO 14 by thinning the wave number in accordance with control data given from a processor 12. In the stage where the deviation between the standard clock UTC of a positioning system and one PPS is large, the generating device selects the output signal of the VC-OCXO 14 and, in the other stage where the above- mentioned deviation is small, the device switches a selector 15 so as to select the output signal of the NCO 26. |
