The present summary concerns a request for an invention patent for the fastening mechanism, belonging in the field of components for external automobile side view mirrors, which was developed in order to solve inconvenience that have been observed in the manufacturing process of similar conventional mechanisms, particularly in regards to the needs for different types of materials; said mirrors are essentially comprised: of a head (1), consisting of the mirror itself (2); of a position adjustment mechanism; and of a thermoplastic housing (3), in which the former are lodged and mounted on the body of the car; and of the fastening mechanism (5), consisting: of holding elements (10) and (20), in the present improvement, these are foreseen in adjacent faces of the housing (3) and base (4), made from the same material together with the latter in one single piece.
