The invention concerns a device for driving a cleaning strip (2) maintained by at least to rotary rollers, front (3) and rear (4), placed each on a drive tube (5), designed to be arranged at the frame (6) of a floor cleaning apparatus. The invention is characterised in that it comprises: a support (7) for said rotary rollers (3, 4); securing means (8) between said support (7) and said drive tubes (5), adapted to enable said rollers (3, 4) to be driven in rotation; driving means (9) for coupling and removing said support (7) into and out of said frame (6) so as to facilitate replacement of the cleaning strip (2) and for driving said rotary rollers (3) and (4).
