PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve gas turbine blades 11, 13 provided with a blade 24 and a blade pedestal section 22 adjacent to and continuous with the blade to form a boundary of a high temperature gas passage 9 of a gas turbine 1 and incorporated in the high temperature gas passage and the gas turbine provided with the gas turbine blades so that, in particular, less cooling air amount is required. SOLUTION: The blade pedestal section 22 of the gas turbine blades has a metallic pedestal, and a ceramic cover 27 is put and fixed on the metallic pedestal by a mechanical mounting means 71 to protect the metallic pedestal from high temperature gas 17 in the high temperature gas passage.
