<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target discriminating apparatus for discriminating whether a target T is a human or not. <P>SOLUTION: The target discriminating apparatus comprises: a means for discriminating whether variation conditions of the reception strength of reflection waves from the target T with time correspond to characteristic conditions when the target T is a specified type (for example, a human, a vehicle), based on information regarding the reception strength of reflection waves from the target T received by a reception antenna 5; and a means for discriminating the type corresponding to the target T, based on the determination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
