A liquid treating mechanism (10) may easily be snapped onto the neck (12) of a single orifice bottle (11). An end cap (17) is connected to a first tube (14) of the liquid treatment mechanism (10), the liquid treatment element (23), such as activated carbon, is disposed in the first tube (14). A liquid inlet (27) allows for the passage of liquid from exterior of the first tube (14) into contact with the liquid treatment element (23). A dispensing tube (29) is disposed adjacent the first end of the first tube (14) and extends from the treatment element (23). An air inlet (32) is disposed in the first tube (14) near its first end and exteriorly of the dispensing tube (29). |
