A fuel saving device for a diesel engine is provided to surely and easily save fuel by returning a part of fuel supplied to the engine to a fuel storage tank in case where extremely small amount of fuel is needed. A fuel saving device(100) for a diesel engine, comprises a lower housing(10), a cylinder member(20), a vertical rod(30), a fuel return member(40), a press member(50), and a spring(60). The lower housing has an inlet(11), an outlet, and an internal channel communicated to the inlet and the outlet. Nozzles are coupled to the respective inlet and outlet so that fuel supplied to the engine flows through the internal channel. The cylinder member is assembled to the lower housing, and has a protrusion(21) which rises and falls by air pressure. The vertical rod is spaced apart from the cylinder member and coupled to the lower housing. The fuel return member is assembled to the lower housing, and spaced apart from the vertical rod in the direction opposite to the cylinder member. The fuel return member has a return channel communicated to the internal channel and a fuel storage tank of a vehicle. The press member is coupled to the vertical rod through a pin(51) in such a manner that the press member is relatively movable centering from the pin. The press member has one end coupled to the cylinder member and the other end coupled to an end of a valve of the fuel return member. The spring is coupled to an outer surface of the valve, and provides restoring force for moving the valve in an upward direction.
