<p>A method and a system for providing a zone based digital multimedia broadcasting service in a mobile communication network, and a mobile communication terminal and a repeater applicable to the same are provided to develop a terrestrial DMB service into a nationwide DMB service and to make it possible to discount a service fee of the DMB in case that a subscriber receives a satellite DMB service only in a fixed area. A system for providing a zone based DMB service comprises a mobile communication network, a DMB service system, a mobile communication terminal(21) and a service ZSD(Zone Setting Device)(19). The mobile communication network provides a mobile communication service for a subscriber via the mobile communication terminal(21). The DMB service system provides the DMB service for the subscriber. The mobile communication terminal(21) makes a communication connection to the mobile communication network, makes a communication connection to the service ZSD(19) via a wireless near field communication means, and receives the DMB from the DMB service system within a range defined by the service ZSD(19). The service ZSD(19) makes a wireless near field communication with the mobile communication terminal via the wireless near field communication means, and sets the wireless near field communicable range as the DMB service zone.</p> |
