The method involves receiving an identification code from a user (11) by an authentification system (12), and producing an interpretation code with an authorized identification code. Data (16) for interpretation is transmitted to the user, and an estimated interpretation (30) of the data is produced from the respective data based on the interpretation code. An interpretation (34) is received by the system from the user, and the received interpretation is compared with the estimated interpretation. The user is authentified, when the received and estimated interpretations match each other.
