摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of supplying an optimum amount of HC for a storage reduction type NOx catalyst by acquiring the amount of HC actually flowing in a storage reduction type NOx catalyst, in an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The amount of HC actually flowing in a NOx catalyst is calculated from a difference between air-fuel ratios on the upstream and downstream sides of the NOx catalyst when supplying HC from a HC supply means (S104).
