The cluster (1) has pencils (3) inserted in guide tubes of a nuclear fuel assembly. A spider shaped support (5) supports the pencils and has a pommel (7) with a central longitudinal axis (C), and fins (9) radially extending towards the exterior from the pommel. A mounting system of the support mounts the pencils distributed on the fins. Support elements (41) are supported on an upper plate of a core and longitudinally project from the fins beyond the mounting system in a direction vertically oriented towards the top, when the cluster is arranged on the nuclear fuel assembly.
