PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter capable of determining whether or not a user has inhaled powder normally.SOLUTION: A counter 10 is used for an inhaler 100 with which a user inhales powder with air intake. The counter 10 includes a flow path A. The flow path A communicates with an intake port 102 of the inhaler 100 when the counter 10 is connected with the inhaler 100. The flow path A includes a main flow path 14 and a bypass flow path 60 that branches from the main flow path 14 and has less flow rate of air intake than the main flow path 14. The flow rate of the air intake that flows in the bypass flow path 60 is detected by a flow rate sensor 38, and the flow rate is converted into an intake flow rate by a microcomputer 30. By the microcomputer 30, a determination as to whether or not the user has inhaled powder normally is made based on comparison of the obtained intake flow rate and a first threshold, and a determination as to whether or not the user has inhaled powder is made based on comparison of the intake flow rate with a second threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
