PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing film superior in optical characteristics, durability and water resistance.SOLUTION: The polarizing film is constituted of a polyvinyl alcohol resin film of 10 μm or less in thickness. The iodine concentration in the polyvinyl alcohol resin film is 8.5 wt.% or more. The cross-linking index expressed by the following formula is 150-200 in which unit of the boric acid concentration in the film is wt.%: (cross-linking index)=(iodine acid concentration in the film)×(boric acid concentration in the film). |
