PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater and glow plug having the same, which can prevent a high current of an overshooting high frequency from rushing into a resistor while driving a heater by a pulse voltage, and which has high reliability achieved by restraining micro cracking from occurring at a heating portion of the resistor.SOLUTION: The heater comprises: an insulation base body 2; a resistor 3 embedded into the insulation base body 2; and a lead 4 embedded into the insulation base body 2 and connected with the resistor 3. At a junction portion between the resistor 3 and the lead 4, a junction layer 5 with a higher specific resistance than the resistor 3 and the lead 4 is interposed. |
