PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve food storability by increasing a volume of a lowermost storage chamber and suppressing volume decrease of the uppermost storage chamber as much as possible.SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes an insulated box, a recessed part which is located at an upper rear part of the insulated box and of which the inside is a machine room, and a compressor installed in the machine room. The compressor is installed so that its upper edge is located higher than the top surface of the insulated box, while the inner undersurface of the insulated box located at the recessed part is disposed at almost the same position as the uppermost tray in the uppermost storage chamber of the insulated box. |
