PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bather watching robot capable of appropriately sensing occurrence of an abnormal condition of a bather by watching the condition of the bathing bather using an independent device.SOLUTION: A power supply unit 9 and a control unit 10 that receives power from the power supply unit so as to act are incorporated in a main body that can float on the water level of hot water in a bathtub. Included as the control unit are a water level fluctuation detector 12 that detects a water level fluctuation (rise and fall or inclination) attributable to waving of the water level in the bathtub which is derived from presence of a bather in the bathtub, a watching discrimination controller 13 that discriminates or senses occurrence of an abnormality in the bather when the water level fluctuation detector 12 detects the water level fluctuation, which falls below a predetermined threshold, continuously over a designated time or more, and outputs an alarm command, and a communication controller 14 that gives the alarm to outside on receipt of the alarm output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
