PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module which can be downsized and perform degassing more efficiently.SOLUTION: A battery module includes: a secondary battery unit which includes a plurality of secondary batteries 112, 114 which are provided with electrode terminals 11, 12 and safety vents 13 respectively and which are arranged in the horizontal and vertical directions at regular intervals from each other in the way that the electrode terminals 11, 12 and the respective safety vents 13 are arranged toward one side; a compression plate 130 which encircles an outside of the secondary battery unit in a band configuration and compresses the secondary battery unit at a prescribed pressure; and an insulation cover 160 which covers the respective electrode terminals 11, 12 and respective safety vents 13 and includes a vent hole member 162 which is joined to the respective safety vents 13, forms a duct 161 guiding gases exhausted from the respective safety vents 13 respectively in the way they move to a first position P1, and which is joined in the way it is coupled to the duct 161 at the first position P1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
