A display panel and manufacturing method thereof. The display panel comprises a color filter substrate, a liquid crystal layer and a thin film transistor array substrate. A pixel unit (504) in the thin film transistor array substrate comprises a first sub-region (5041), a second sub-region (5042), a third sub-region (5043) and a fourth sub-region (5044), wherein liquid crystal molecules corresponding to the first sub-region (5041), the second sub-region (5042), the third sub-region (5043) and the fourth sub-region (5044) respectively have a first pre-tilt angle, a second pre-tilt angle, a third pre-tilt angle and a fourth pre-tilt angle, thus improving display quality of the display panel when viewed with a large viewing angle. |
