in a data storage device that includes a first component including a signal source and a second component including a load responsive to the signal source, performing:
sensing an impedance mismatch between an output impedance of the signal source and an impedance of the load; andin response to detecting the impedance mismatch, sending a control signal from the first component to a load impedance adjustment circuit in the second component to adjust an impedance of the load to reduce the impedance mismatch, wherein the load impedance adjustment circuit includes a plurality of capacitors having different capacitance values.
