PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a lead as much as possible by disposing a writing element having low breakage strength of a lead except a position opposed to a clip. SOLUTION: In the multi-lead writing instrument, three types of mechanical pencils are, for example, slidably disposed, the pencil 13 having a thickest lead diameter and strong breakage strength is disposed at a position opposed to a clip 9, and other mechanical pencil 14 and the other one are disposed at a lateral side of the clip 9. At the time of writing on a writing surface P, an angle of the pencil 13 due to bending and an angle of the inclined instrument are superposed at the time of projecting the pencil 13 so that an angle formed between the surface P and the pencil 13 is reduced with the result that a lead is easily broken. Accordingly, a lead having a thick lead diameter is disposed in the pencil 13. In the case of projecting the pencil 14, since an angle of the pencil 14 due to bending and an angle for inclining the instrument are out of phase of 90 degrees, an angle formed between the element and the surface P is only the angle of the instrument. |
