PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively read residue of ink by forming an ink container out of transparent or translucent thermoplastic resin, and treating at least an ink wall with oil not compatible with fatty acid amide wax. SOLUTION: The ballpoint pen refill 1 has a structure formed at its transparent ink container 2 of thermoplastic resin and having a ballpoint pen tip 3 disposed in contact with an end of the container 2 to rotatably embrace a ball. And, an inner wall of the container 2 is treated with oil not compatible with fatty acid amide wax. The treatment with the oil not compatible with the wax forms a coating layer 4 by coating it with the oil or the container 2 by adding the oil in thermoplastic resin for forming the container 2. As the coil not compatible with the wax, silicone oil modified at its side chain by aliphatic hydrocarbon or modified by fluorocompound is used. |
