PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a food with a heating plate excellent in preservability and hygiene by forming the food with the plate into a dipped state of the whole food including the plate covered with an electroconductive liquid in an insulated vessel, and carrying out heating and sterilizing treatment by the action of passing electric current. SOLUTION: A food 9 with the plate obtained by placing a food material 1 on the upper surface of the plate 2 is formed into a dipped state of the whole food 9 including the plate 2 covered with an electroconductive liquid 6 in an insulated vessel 5, and carrying out the heating and sterilizing treatment of the food 9 with the plate in the state covered with the electroconductive liquid 6 by the action of passing electric current. Preferably, a part or the whole of the food 9 with the plate is previously wrapped with an electroconductive wrapping material. Preferably, the part or the whole of the food 9 with the plate is covered with a peelable membrane body and housed in a retainer having at least mutually facing two faces constituted so as to be electric conductive, and the heating and sterilizing treatment in the electroconductive liquid 6 is carried out by passing the electric current. Further, the heating and sterilizing treatment is preferably carried out by passing the electric current and by arranging the food 9 with the plate in the insulating vessel 5 so that the plate 2 may be positioned upward. |
