摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new screening method capable of rapidly screening a bone formation accelerating agent by using transformed cells obtained by incorporating a cDNA encoding PEBP2α or active part peptide thereof into undifferentiated mesenchymal cells capable of differentiating to osteoblastic cells. SOLUTION: This method of screening a bone formation accelerating agent is to use a transformed cells obtained by incorporating a cDNA encoding PEBP2α (e.g. PEBP2αA) or active part peptide thereof into undifferentiated mesenchymal cells (e.g. C3H10T1/2) capable of differentiating to osteoblastic cells. Further, by this screening method, a substance capable of accelerating the action of PEBP2α or active part peptide thereof can be selected easily, and it has an advantage of performing the screening of the bone formation accelerating agent rapidly in comparison with conventional methods.
