A drivewheel assembly (10) is connectable between a frame (12) of a wheeled chassis and a drivewheel (20), and provides powered rotation for operatively moving the frame (12) and chassis in a user controllable direction along an underlying supporting surface and for selectively reorienting the drivewheel (20) to change the direction of movement of the frame (12) and chassis along the supporting surface. A motor (24) connected to the drivewheel (20) is mounted to the frame (12) for pivotal rotation relative to the frame (12) about an orienting axis substantially perpendicular to the drivewheel axis of rotation. |
