A catch is released by a gearing when the lift is detected as travelling faster than normal. - The device is used to automatically stop the stair lift if it exceeds a given speed. A catch (2) engages with a fixed stopping device in the event of the lift being detected as moving faster than normal. The catch is operated by a gearing (5-7) which includes a centrifugally manoeuvrable tongue (6) for releasing the catch when a given lift speed is exceeded. A chain in the gearing system is constantly in contact with a gear wheel. |
