A pair of fingers are located immediately below the spout. They are mounted on a vertically sliding yoke, which has side rails engaging in grooves formed in vertical guides. The guides are mounted on the plate which supports the spout, one guide on each side of the spout. An air cylinder pushes the yoke down so that the fingers will engage the valve opening of a bag suspended from the spout and stretch the opening to permit air to escape from the bag. The fingers when extended also clamp the bag to the spout.
