<p>A document sorting machine for assembling a set of documents from a number of sets of documents, has a belt driven delivery system across the top of a line of sloping compartments, each compartment holding a set of documents. The feed mechanism for delivering the top sheet from each set consists of a spring loaded, reciprocating pressure arm with a friction member in contact with the top sheet of each set. The set of pressure arms is supported by a reciprocating base member with a follower lever extending downwards which moves parallel to the pressure arms, the whole unit moved up and down by a drive mechanism.</p> |
