The accessory for hair dryers is in the form of a hollow toothed comb. Each hollow tooth is closed at the sides and underneath and open only along an oblique upper surface. This ensures that the hot air is directed obliquely upwards. The cover part (2) limites the size of the opening while deflecting the upper layer of air from the dryer downwards onto the lower part of the tooth. Knobs (3) are added to each tooth on its underside to ensure that the heated surface of the comb teeth does not come into contact with the scalp. The air from the tooth is blown upwards through the hair at a tangent to the scalp. This method allows the temperature of the air to be raised without the danger of burning the scalp. The higher air temperature dries the hair more quickly.
