<p>Gas filter has a cylindrical housing with a replaceable tubular filter element. The element forms an integral part of the housing cover on one side. The gas flows up through the inside, through the element and out via a branch on the housing. The element is mounted by means of hooks on the lower edge of an inner support. These fit into slots on the lower side of the housing and can then move along inclined surfaces to lock the element and hold it in position. Used for gas filtration esp. motor air filters. Provides simple mounting system which allows filter elements to be changed rapidly without the need for undoing numerous nuts, bolts, etc.</p> |
