<p>The amplifier, is designed for use in ultra-sound test equipment. It has a large signal-to-noise ratio for input signals of greatly differing amplitudes. The amplifier consists of a chain of separate amplifying stages (V1, V2...Vn) switched in and out depending on the magnitude of the input signal's amplitude. An input signal with a large amplitude means that the amplifier output (UA) is taken from an amplifying stage lying nearer to the input end of the chain than it would for an input of smaller amplitude.</p> |
