The two-stage epicyclic gearing of the motorised drive of Venetian blinds and other domestic appliances saves a maximum of space by a compact design of thes second-stage planet carrier. - The second-stage planet carrier fits in the shape of the dome around the periphery of the gear casing. An inner groove of the planet carrier is fitted with a clip-ring which secures the carrier axially against a shoulder on the gear casing. The carrier has also inside the dome annular recess for a thin metal strip, folded to a ring, which acts as the bearing relative to the gear casing.
