PURPOSE:To raise the volumetric efficiency of cell by the procedure in which a pair of rollers are touched with a core from both sides through an isolating plate and one electrode plate is wound around the core until the core is covered with the isolating plate by rotation. CONSTITUTION:The isolating plates 1 and 1' are supplied from mutually opposite sides, the superposing portions of the isolating plates are toughed with each other by using a pair of upper and lower fitting metals, the split cores 3 and 3' are inserted through the grooves of the fitting metals from the horizontal axle of the double layer of the isolating plates, the fitting metals are retreated, and then the two press rollers 6 and 6' facing each other are touched with the core. Then, the core is preliminarily turned through neary 1/2 rotation, and any one, the plate 5 for example, of the negative and positive electrode plates is sent out along the periphery of one uncovered portion in such a way that its tip is wound and the other plate 5' is inserted into between the double layer of isolating plates being rolled. |
