PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the resistance of an isthmus when the top of a catheter is passed therethrough by providing a catheter with a slim tip whose diameter is as small as possible while keeping the fixing length of the balloon top sleeve at the tip part of the balloon catheter and the inner tube minimum, and which has excellent permeability and is soft enough even if a balloon made of hard material is used. SOLUTION: A balloon 1 and an inner tube 5 having a lumen through which a guide wire runs are fixed at the top of this catheter. And the catheter has a tip structure as follows: the length of the sleeve at the top of the balloon is from 1 mm to 5 mm, and the sleeve is adhered to the top of the inner tube with an adhesion margin in the range between 0.5 and 3.5 mm. The inner tube further protrudes from the top of the sleeve of the balloon, and the length of the protrusion is from 0.5 mm to 5 mm. The outer diameter of the top of the protrusion is smaller toward the top. |
