The elevating platform has a rotary base (10) which is fastened to a vehicle (12), a first boom (14) in the form of a parallelogram linkage (15, 16, 17, 18), a second boom (21) which is fastened to the supporting device (18, 20) in an articulated manner, and a basket or a working platform (23). The supporting device (18, 20) maintains a constant position irrespective of the elevation angle of the first boom (14) so that the second boom (21) can be raised automatically and simultaneously. The second boom (21) is raised further by a hydraulic cylinder (22). In the transport position, the basket (23) is arranged at a lower level than the supporting device (18, 20). <IMAGE>
